About Our Client

My client is a Financial Services firm looking for a VP - Treasury Manager located in Jersey City, NJ.

Job Description

  • Conducts unprecedented or complex analyses and reporting in support of general business operations, special projects/initiatives and/or strategic/operational planning activities. Often assigned as a project lead on business unit or firm initiatives of strategic importance. Will enlist support from and lead junior staff or peers.



  • The Treasury Manager will support and manage the balance sheet and funding/liquidity risk for the business. S/he will possess knowledge of Broker Dealer rules, specifically Capital Rule 15c3-1 and Customer Protection Rule 15c3-3. Proficiency with Funding Markets (Broker Dealer Funding and Repos), Stress Testing, Building Funding Models, Broker Dealer Transfer Pricing, Haircuts and Stress Haircuts.



  • In this role, the Treasury Manager will report to the Treasurer and will work closely with the local CFO and other Senior Management team in addition to the Global Corporate Treasurer and members of Corporate Treasury."



  • Familiarity and experience with both existing and proposed Bank Regulatory Rules (LCR, SLR, Dodd-Frank, NSFR, Basel III.) and in the areas of bank ALM metrics, such as interest rate risk, liquidity & collateral management and regulatory sensitivity is highly desired.



  • Typically present in large/complex functions or business units. Defines and develops analytical approaches to unprecedented and complex issues. Determines where measurement gaps exist devise new metrics or reports to fill those gaps. Gathers, organizes, and reviews operational data/metrics, analyzes and synthesizes the data, then compiles into dashboards, reports or presentations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.



  • 10-12 years of total work experience is preferred; experience in securities or financial services is preferred. Interpersonal skills are also important due to the frequent interactions with constituents such as senior management, bank colleagues, external auditors and regulators.
