Biotech lab instrumentation company based south of Boston is seeking an Account Manager to join the biotech sales team based in the Boston/Cambridge area. The company provides analytical technologies that support biopharmaceutical and clinical markets worldwide, helping accelerate drug development and improve patient outcomes.

Job Description

  • Business Development & Sales: Drive revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Account Management: Manage and expand existing customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Territory Strategy: Develop and execute territory plans, including prospect targeting, pipeline management, and forecast accuracy.
  • Technical Consultation: Partner with customers to understand their research workflows and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, applications support, and product management to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to strategically position solutions.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7-10 years of experience in the biotech, life sciences, or related industry, with a proven track record in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Demonstrated success selling lab instrumentation, capital equipment, or scientific solutions into biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic research environments.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to engage credibly with scientists, lab managers, and procurement teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a competitive market.
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
