Job Description

FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: The Account Manager is responsible for interacting with all external and internal customers.

MISSION: The primary purpose of the Account Manager is to achieve annual sales targets, explore new territory opportunities and maintain customer relationships.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

1. Sales Target

  • Be instrumental in achieving consistent on-target performance.
  • Conduct sufficient sales calls (minimum two plus per day).
  • Liaise with existing customer base to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction translating into high levels of customer retention.
  • Provide regular, timely monthly reports on business activity.
  • Provide support and assistance where necessary to other members of the Sales Team to ensure that the overall U.S. Sales target is achieved.
  • Perform on-site demonstrations of any of the client's technology when required.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the client's range of products and a strong knowledge of competitor offerings.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the disciplines associated with client's sales system.



2. Explore and Exploit Market Opportunities

  • Actively plan and execute competitor penetration projects.
  • Document feedback on all sales leads in Salesforce.com .
  • Attend trade shows and exhibitions where appropriate.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

What's on Offer

The remuneration package will include an annual base salary commensurate to the successful candidate's qualifications and experience. In addition, the package will include a healthy commission plan paid monthly, car allowance, phone, laptop, expense account, plus benefits etc.
