As the organization has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years, they are now looking to bring on an Accountant to join the team. As an Accountant, you will support the company by managing day-to-day accounting operations, with a strong emphasis on Accounts Payable and month-end close activities. This role will partner closely with the Senior Accountant and Accounting Director to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and support the overall accounting function.Job DescriptionAccountant Responsibilities:Handle end-to-end Accounts Payable activities, including invoice review, coding, and entry, while ensuring appropriate approvals and on-time paymentsManage Accounts Receivable functions such as customer invoicing, cash application, and account reconciliations within QuickBooks OnlineMonitor Medicaid-related payments and ensure accurate, timely remittance to State agenciesSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activitiesPrepare and record journal entries in accordance with accounting standardsPerform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances as neededEnsure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and relevant regulatory requirementsAssist with external audit requests and documentationProactively evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
