We placed the Director of Finance and Accounting Manager who have both received promotions since.Given the growth, they are looking to now identify an Accountant to work closely with the management team to assist with the evolving A&F function. As the Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting-related practices such as month-end close, AP, AR, and more.Job DescriptionAccountant Responsibilities:Conduct general ledger analyses.Perform daily account reconciliations and investigate variances or discrepancies.Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis.Support month-end close activities and account reconciliations in compliance with GAAP.Record and reconcile corporate credit card transactions.Prepare and file sales tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.Prepare and post journal entries to general ledger accounts.Assist with preparation for year-end reviews and audits.Implement web-based financial systems and produce database-driven reports.Provide support for ad hoc financial and accounting projects.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and procedures.Ensure confidentiality and protect sensitive financial information.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
