Job Description

  • Reconcile investment, cash, credit card, and banking accounts regularly.
  • Post investment transactions and entries into the accounting system.
  • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies with financial institutions and internal teams.
  • Prepare financial schedules for investment tracking, including interest income and security holdings.
  • Maintain records for debt service activity and cash flow analysis.
  • Utilize strong Excel skills for financial work papers and data integrity.

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Hybrid role: Initially 5x per week in-office for onboarding (2-4 weeks), then hybrid.
  • Role involves detailed investment reconciliation with a moderate-to-high transaction volume.
  • Not comparable to large corporate treasury operations, but fast-paced and independent.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and investment accounting.
  • Experience with Great Plains is preferred, but other large ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Workday) will be considered.
  • Sector preference: Government or Nonprofit, but open to Corporate Finance or Real Estate candidates with strong investment experience.
