Their focus is on retail, medical, office and industrialJob DescriptionThe core responsibilities of the Construction Accounting Assistant include:Input initial job project budgets, schedule of values, subcontractor commitments and subsequent change orders to and from owners and subcontractors.Review all job cost postings for accuracy and proper coding making any necessary adjustments. Support Construction Team on coding related issues and questions reducing miscoding and increasing data accuracy.Collect monthly required forms from subcontractors including Pay Application, Conditional, and Unconditional Lien Releases.Review and reconcile Subcontractor Invoices / Draw Requests matching percentage complete with percentage billed.Assist in the preparation of monthly Owner Pay Applications.Work with Project Manager's to generate and input estimated costs to complete on a monthly basis.Reconciliation of Project Cost Management System with Accounting Software.Assist in preparation of monthly Work-In-Process Schedule and Financial Statements.Provide support to all accounting positions by cross-training and understanding how each process ties together; provide fill-in support during vacations for these positions.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
