They will lead a team, ensure timely financial reporting, manage tax obligations, and support audits. Partnering with leadership, they will assist in budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis while identifying process improvements. This role requires a hands-on, proactive leader with strong accounting expertise in a manufacturing environment.Job DescriptionAccounting Manager Responsibilties: Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting.Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, treasury management, and cash flow oversight.Supervise accounts payable and ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time.Oversee billing operations while maintaining strong customer relationships.Manage and support a team of four in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.Monitor and manage sales and use tax obligations and payments.Prepare and analyze financial reports, including key performance metrics and variance analysis.Collaborate with internal teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections, identifying opportunities to improve profitability.Support annual financial audits and maintain organized accounting records.Assist with special projects, including financial planning and analysis, return on investment (ROI) assessments, system improvements, and cost/margin analysis.Occasionally travel as needed (less than 10%).MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
