As industry booms, they are seeking an Accounting Manager to work collaboratively with their Project Management Team in the financial management of their growing project portfolio.Job DescriptionMaintaining accurate and timely financial management reports, including internal and external monthly financial statements and annual budgets and auditsEnsure timely and accurate processing of Accounts Payable and purchase orders, including overseeing invoicing and posting cashEnsure timely and accurate processing of payroll related taxes and payroll withholding including union benefits for all US operationsWork with CFO to develop accurate and timely work and to facilitate monthly reporting to executive managementAssist in preparation of annual budgetReview and record journal entries required to reflect monthly activityPrepare documentation supporting the monthly close process and month-end balancesReview monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintainedPrepare monthly financial statementsPrepare year-to-date cash flow statementsPerform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balancesMaintain fixed asset records to coordinate quarterly inventory of fixed assets with the information technology departmentEstablish and maintain systems and controls to verify the integrity of all processes, systems, and dataImplement, document, and maintain adequate and effective internal controlsImplement, document, and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reportingEnsure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulationsEnsure accurate and timely production of all financial informationAssist with acquisition activities, including developing financial models, due diligence reviews and integration activitiesOversee the acquisition-related purchase and accounting adjustmentsDevelop accounting policies and proceduresParticipate in a wide variety of special projects and develop ad hoc reports as requestedMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
