You will be responsible for managing 1 Staff Accountant to start with the opportunity to grow a full team underneath you. The company is about $50M in Revenue and about 130 employees globally.Job DescriptionAs the Accounting Manager - Consumer Products you will be responsible for the following:Will work closely with other members of the global team including the VP of Finance and regional accounting teams for various responsibilities to ensure that the company is well positioned to support rapid growth.The position is a member of a small team with great visibility to upper management including the CEO and CFO who will leverage their skills to assist the global finance function.Responsible for month end close including reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.Manage the Accounts Payable cycle including new vendor set up, creating purchase orders, inputting vendor invoices and employee expense reports, securing approvals, and determining payment priority.Responsible for managing accruals, managing the fixed asset process, processing cash disbursements, and processing and reconciling inventory.Take a lead role in developing and revising business processes to promote efficient use of staff resources across functional groups.Preparation of month end reports for the Corporate Controller, VP of Finance, and CFO.Assistance with financial processes including ensuring integrity of financial information, creation of internal and external reporting, supporting internal and external audits, implementing controls, and maintaining process documentation.Special projects and other activities as determined by management.Build out a strong team as we grow, including developing staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationshipsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
