We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team and play a key role in supporting our growth in the retail and luxury sectors.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations:

  • Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial statements.



Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee sales tax compliance for e-commerce transactions across multiple states and jurisdictions.



Process Optimization:

  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems, ensuring scalability.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to optimize inventory and cost accounting practices.



Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of junior accountants, fostering their professional growth.
  • Partner with internal teams, including FP&A, operations, and technology, to support data-driven decision-making.



Strategic Contributions:

  • Assist in developing and managing budgets and forecasts.
  • Support financial integrations for new platforms, payment gateways, and acquisitions.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification (required).



Experience:

  • 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in high-growth e-commerce, online retail, or consumer goods industries (required).
  • Strong understanding of sales tax compliance and inventory management in an e-commerce environment.



Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with payment gateways and multi-channel e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon).
