They are a 2nd generation business scaling in size and establishing themselves as a market leader.Job DescriptionManage and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support in daily accounting functions.Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, working closely with other departments to analyze cost control and profitability.Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process and provide necessary documentation for audit reviews.Review financial transactions for accuracy, proper documentation, and appropriate classification.Assist in tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.Support senior management with financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning.Collaborate with other departments (e.g., production, operations) to drive cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiency's.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
