The position reports to the Controller and manages a Senior Accountant, with ownership over designated accounting areas and contributions to the continued development and scalability of the function.

Job Description

* Manage assigned areas of the month-end close, including preparation, review, and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts
* Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed
* Oversee and review the work of a Senior Accountant, providing guidance and feedback to support development and maintain quality
* Collaborate across accounting functions to ensure close timelines and deliverables are met
* Support daily treasury operations, including cash monitoring, transaction recording, and short-term forecasting
* Assist with weekly cash disbursements, including review of ACH and wire activity
* Prepare audit schedules, respond to auditor requests, and maintain supporting documentation
* Contribute to ERP system enhancements, partnering with Finance and IT to improve workflows, reporting, and data integrity
* Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency across accounting and treasury functions
* Support ad hoc projects and evolving business initiatives

The Successful Applicant

* 5-8 years of accounting experience
o Public accounting experience (minimum 2 years) preferred
o Experience in private industry preferred
* CPA designation preferred
* Hands-on experience with month-end close processes
* Prior experience reviewing work or mentoring junior staff preferred
* Strong understanding of balance sheet accounting and reconciliations
* Experience working within an ERP system required
o Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central is a plus
* Strong systems aptitude with an interest in process improvement and automation
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business tools
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
