About Our Client

Our client, a rapidly growing company in the health and wellness industry, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. They specialize in high-quality vitamins and supplements, committed to enhancing their customers' well-being.

Job Description

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including managing the general ledger and ensuring timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures to maintain robust internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful and timely audits.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and development as needed.
  • Participate in the implementation of new accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the health and wellness industry is a plus.
