Job Description

The individual will work closely with the head of business for the Americas, the Americas sales teams, the head of Connected Home product marketing and the head of Connected Home digital marketing to:

  • Develop and implement an integrated strategic marketing and communication plan to advance Connected Home's positioning in the Americas region - broaden awareness and visibility of its programs across key stakeholders audiences, as well as drive revenue growth;
  • Effectively interpret market changes and translate them into well-defined marketing plans, inclusive of anticipation of, and reaction to, the moves of key competitors
  • Develop and implement Go-to-Market plans for the region to grow and retain customers and prospects. This includes the creation and implementation of global as well as regional customer relationship marketing programs (for ex account based digital campaigns, etc..) focused on growth drivers and the development of unique value propositions, customer centric messaging/plans that increase brand awareness and demand for Connected Home products and solutions;
  • Leverage global programs and assets and customize for the region;
  • Help sales leverage all marketing assets with customers
  • Build and manage our influencer relations to promote our differentiators and raise awareness of our solutions portfolio;
  • Achieve targeted results and ensure timely and effective execution of marketing tactics and programs inclusive of (but limited to) events, roadshows, email marketing, social media, thought leadership, etc;
  • Develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs;
  • Regionalize the global media strategy and thought leadership and influencer programs - to establish a speakers bureau and production of content.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 10 years of leadership experience, ideally in the telecommunication space - operator, media or pay TV space, having worked with leading edge products;
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field is required, advanced degree is preferred;
  • Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships with top tier partners;
  • Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output
  • Proven ability to create value propositions and marketing messaging
  • Extensive experience of marketing and communication in a highly competitive and always changing environment;
  • Demonstrated strategic competencies: accountability for results, client focus, team effectiveness, developing others, ingenuity, organizational sophistication and communicating ideas;
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution;
  • Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers;
  • Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs;
  • Flexible, highly collaborative and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance, and administration initiatives;
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Languages such as Spanish and French a plus;
  • Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker
