Job Description

The role includes:

Support senior bankers on execution of M&A transactions

  • Participate and contribute to the preparation of marketing materials
  • Analyze companies using financial modeling and valuation techniques
  • Play a leading role in the project and due diligence management

Support senior bankers on M&A deal origination

  • Support team members in sector coverage responsibilities and assist in developing industry and sector knowledge
  • Take the lead in the preparation of pitching materials
  • Supports team members in the identification of M&A ideas

Team development

  • Contribute to team-building efforts and provide on-the-job training for junior team members
  • Play a supporting role in recruiting efforts

Working together

  • Work cooperatively with senior team members, clients and other stakeholders
  • Take the initiative in finding new and more efficient ways to work (both on execution and origination)

The Successful Applicant

***Our client will consider candidates with NO M&A experience who want to get into M&A. Other backgrounds: Accounting (Top 10 Acconting Firms), Credit Analysts, Ratings Agency Analysts, Leveraged Finance, Restructuring, Equity Research, ECM, DCM***

  • Prior experience in the financial services industry (banks, accounting firms, ratings agencies) (1-2 for Analyst) (2-4 for Associate)
  • Bachelor degree; MBA or other degree in finance or related studies a plus
  • Academic record (strong GPA)
  • Good understanding of transaction cycles and the M&A product
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good financial and computer (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) proficiency
