The client is a global real estate investor primarily in multifamily with a focus on Texas and the Southeast US, but also with investments across seas. Investors are typically high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals, including some with family offices. Capital is raised on an investment-specific basis.

Job Description

* Assist with the Fund's quarterly and annual reporting requirements to deliver accurate and timely information to Consultants and Investors.
* Collaborate with Capital Markets team members to support the Fund's capital raising efforts. Assist with the completion of investor questionnaires and ad hoc analyses in an efficient manner.
* Support the Fund's quarterly valuation policies, which involves working with third party appraisers to determine the fair value of the Fund's real estate investments and debt instruments in order to strike the Fund's net asset value (NAV) on a quarterly basis.
* Collaborate with asset management and operations teams to monitor performance of existing investments. Assist with financial analyses to measure key performance indicators and performance relative to budget, which will be leveraged to make asset-level decisions aimed at maximizing value and driving investment performance.
* Assist with the preparation of presentation materials and deliverables for Cortland's investment committee as well as current and prospective investors and other stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Economics or related field
  • Self-driven and proactive with extremely strong communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated interest in real estate, finance, business, or related area with a strong intellectual curiosity
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Critical thinker and self-starter capable of accomplishing a task with limited guidance and supervision
