This client is a growing international full-service CDMO within the biotechnology space looking to aggressively expand its footprint in the US. The company has a strong base of API/Small Molecule, Biologics, Clinical Research, Bioanalytical Sciences, DMPK, Cell and Gene Therapy and other capability centers across the US. This business has developed a fantastic brand in the US through exceptional service which drives repeat business. This specific role is at their Providence location, specializing in late stage large scale API development and manufacturing.

Job Description

  • Analyze API's, Intermediates, Starting Materials and Raw Materials via HPLC and other analytical methods
  • Perform assigned tasks according to tight deadlines
  • Manage multiple tasks at one time while contributing to several projects
  • Lean new techniques needed to support specific projects according to client needs
  • Solve scientific problems and troubleshoot issues
  • Able to step in and learn new techniques to support projects
  • Ability to solve scientific problems
  • Able to work effectively in a GMP laboratory

The Successful Applicant

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or relevant field
  • 2-5+ years of industry experience
  • Relevant experience in an Analytical Chemistry laboratory
  • Significant expertise in HPLC and/or UPLC methods
  • Report to VP of Research and Development
  • Hands-on expertise and up-to-date knowledge of other analytical methodologies
  • Experience working to GLP and GMP
  • Ability to effectively contribute to multi-disciplinary scientific teams
  • Experience with API manufacturing is preferred
  • Experience managing and working with CROs and CMOs in previous role is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
