About Our Client

Our client is a full-service General Contractor/Construction Manager that has been in business for 20+ years. This company, which is experiencing rapid growth, is renowned in the South Jersey area. Team members are valued beyond the projects, which contributes to the strong company culture. Our client is currently seeking a motivated APM to join their growing team who is looking to grow with the business.

Job Description

  • Participates in estimating, bidding, takeoffs, and document review.
  • Assists PMs and superintendents in preparing and modifying project schedules, material schedules, project sequencing and project safety plan
  • Prepares RFIs and submittals and manages project logs ensuring timely processing
  • Ensures contracts, insurance, bonds and other subcontract requirements are current and received before subcontractor performs any work on site and other compliance items as the work is executed escalating any issues to the PM
  • Coordinates the obtaining of permits or certifications as required
  • Preparation of meeting minutes.
  • Collects superintendent daily reports, reviews for completeness and escalates any issues or deficiencies to PM
  • Updates project management entries

The Successful Applicant

  • Three or more years related construction industry experience to successfully perform duties and responsibilities described above under general project management guidance
  • Degree in construction management, engineering or architecture is preferred
  • Read and understand all construction documents (Plans, Specifications, Addendum, etc.)
  • High level of computer experience (experience in Procore, MS Project, MS Office, Bluebeam, PlanGrid)
  • Strong communication, organizational and documentation skills
  • Detail oriented, Fast Learner, and Team Oriented.
  • Solutions oriented with excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
