Located near Skokie, IL, they are a leading and growing innovator in their niche and have an opening for an Assistant Controller. This individual will manage a team of 3+ individuals and have full ownership over all accounting and finance operations.

Description
Assistant Controller Responsibilities:
- Act as a key business partner within the organization, collaborating with company leaders to form meaningful relationships with internal and external providers
- Own the global consolidation of entity-level accounting into U.S. based financial statements, including the preparation of intercompany related entities
- Oversee all accounting and finance operations and related functions
- Ensure U.S. GAAP compliance for accounting reconciliations and practices across a global scale
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors
- Manage account reconciliations and financial activity regarding cash, billings, property, expenses, billings, and accruals
- Ensure the completion of all tax reporting and treasury operations
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA strongly preferred
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to adhere to all aspects of U.S. GAAP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- ERP implementation experience preferred
- Experience with consolidation, reporting, and planning tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent leadership skills
