My client services building operations in the renewable energy sector all over the country. They are a key component in servicing the wind, solar and hydro areas and have been growing immensely both organically and through acquisitions.

Job Description

Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
Assist in consolidating financial statements and producing management reporting packages.
Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions including A/P, A/R, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and general ledger.
Ensure all accounting operations follow GAAP and company policies.
Maintain proper documentation and accounting treatment for complex transactions.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to validate financial information and support business activities.
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of team members.
Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5 years of combined experience in financial analysis and accounting
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel for financial modeling.
Knowledge of GAAP
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
