The business partners with major entertainment, sports, and lifestyle brands, operating a high‑volume wholesale and licensing model that emphasises trend‑driven design, scalable production, and long‑term brand relationships.Job Description The key responsibilities for the Assistant Controller role:Support the month-end close process, ensuring timely, accurate financial reportingPrepare and maintain balance sheet and P&L support schedulesPerform account reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure overall general ledger accuracyReview and prepare journal entries with proper documentation and accounting complianceAssist with oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activitiesReview, approve, and code vendor invoices, ensuring correct posting periods and account classificationsMonitor licensing revenue invoicing and collections, ensuring accuracy and timelinessSupport external audits (financial, tax, and lender-related) and maintain audit-ready documentationHelp develop, document, and improve accounting procedures and internal controlsPerform monthly reporting and analysis, including expense and GL reviewProvide cross-functional and ad hoc support on special finance and accounting projectsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
