Description

The Assistant General Manager will be responsible to:



  • Assist the General Manager on a daily basis with financial and capital management, annual budgeting, and support strategic initiatives to drive revenue and reduce expenses.


  • Responsible for managing day to day operations including the management of 3rd party vendors including facility maintenance, landscaping, trash removal, janitorial services, security services.


  • Enhance and elevate the consumer experience through daily assessments of the property condition.


  • Work with insurance companies & lenders on property inspections, appraisals and follow up.



  • Develop and maintain positive retail tenant relations by meeting with tenants on a regular basis.


  • Work on special projects and provide operational support on other projects as needed.


  • Maintain an effective working relationship with key internal and external stakeholders to include the Marketing team, Tenant Coordination team and key civic leaders (police, fire chief, building code officials, etc.).

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate for the Assistant General Manager position will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Finance or comparable
  • 5+ years or more years of commercial property management
  • Experience in Retail and mixed-use properties with direct exposure to shopping center
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting and forecast
  • Property software knowledge (Yardi etc.)
  • Tenant relationship management

This position is highly operational and located out of the main office in Somerville but will give flexibility to work from home at least one day a week.
