The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support Project Managers in the successful planning, coordination, and execution of commercial interior construction projects. This role offers hands‑on exposure to all phases of construction and a clear path for growth into a Project Manager position.

Job Description

  • Assist Project Managers with day‑to‑day project execution from preconstruction through closeout
  • Support budgeting, cost tracking, and change order management
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Attend project meetings and assist with meeting minutes and follow‑ups
  • Track schedules and help ensure milestones are met
  • Assist with permit processing, inspections, and closeout documentation
  • Maintain accurate project records and reporting

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 1-4 years of experience in commercial construction (interiors preferred)
  • Exposure to office, workplace, retail, or storefront projects is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)
