Voted among NC's best places to work for several years in a row, the team is looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to the team based in the Raleigh market.

Job Description

Reporting into the Project Manager and the VP/Division Manager, the Assistant Project Manager - Raleigh - Commercial Construction will be responsible for:

  • Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly schedule to support and preserve the Contract Project Schedule
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required
  • Dictate or prepare project reports for management, client, or others
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
  • Take part and assist with the pre-planning and conceptual phase
  • Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders and maintain them moving forward
  • Work with subcontractors - create and maintain positive relationships
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the project schedule

The Successful Applicant

The successful Assistant Project Manager - Raleigh - Commercial Construction will have the following experience:

  • 1-3 years of Project Engineer or Assistant Project Management experience
  • Experience working on industrial or large commercial construction projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree
  • Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred
  • Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success
  • Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors
  • Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level
  • Local to Raleigh preferred, though relocators will be considered

  • Base salary contingent on experience, ranging approximately $70,000-90,000
