They have a strong growth plan in place to achieve $150M in annual revenue and are looking to grow their team as a result. They are seeking a strong Assistant Project Manager to join their team. This person will be based on-site at a project in Alexandria, VA.Job DescriptionThe Assistant Project Manager - Government Projects - Alexandria will be responsible for:Support the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and managing construction projects from pre-construction through closeoutAssist with preparing project schedules, budgets, and work plansCoordinate and communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and internal teamsTrack project progress and maintain accurate documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutesHelp ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and contract requirementsMonitor project costs and assist in managing project budgets and forecastsSupport procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor servicesAttend site visits and project meetings, taking notes and following up on action itemsAssist with quality control and ensure project deliverables meet required standardsIdentify and help resolve project issues to avoid delays or cost overrunsContribute to project closeout procedures including punch lists, final inspections, and turnover packagesMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
