My client is a well-known general contractor in the Indianapolis market that has seen exceptional growth over the last 4 years - they recently had their best year to date in 2025 generating over $225M in revenue. As they continue to expand they are looking to bring on an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support on projects as they look to maintain their high quality as they continue winning builds.

They are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team, learn directly from current PMs and quickly develop into a Project Manager.

Job Description

  • Assist Project Manager in all phases of construction
  • Write RFI's, submit for approval and distribute accordingly
  • Review and understand the subcontract documents as they apply to assigned areas of responsibility
  • Notify management of significant project events such as project successes, issues, injuries, client relations, potential losses/claims
  • Work with owner/client to provide updates, obtain approvals, and complete change orders for scope of work revisions
  • Assists with documenting changes; Maintain project records, red line transfers, and correspondence.
  • Assist with preconstruction tasks, including estimating and quantification
  • Collect and log closeout documents and punch lists

The Successful Applicant

  • 2-5+ years of experience working in general contracting (open to PE or APM level)
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field required
  • Experience managing administrative construction duties, including document control
  • Proficient in Bluebeam or Procore
  • Need to have a basic understanding of construction knowledge
