Their team operates in a fast-paced yet supportive environment, where employees work directly with ownership and have significant opportunities for career growth.Job DescriptionThe Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for:Assist with subcontractor and supplier buyouts, procurement, and contract management.Support project closeout documentation and ensure all requirements are met.Manage the submittal and RFI processes, ensuring timely responses and approvals.Evaluate RFPs and solicit competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.Oversee owner and subcontractor change orders, tracking costs and approvals.Proactively resolve project-related issues to keep schedules and budgets on track.Monitor and ensure the timely procurement of materials.Work closely with the project management team in a small, collaborative environment with direct access to ownership.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for:1-5 years of experience in the construction industry.Preferred project background: Ground-up or renovation experience on projects $20M+, ideally within public, academic, or K-12 construction (multifamily experience is less preferred).Education: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).Technical Skills: Experience using Procore or other construction management software.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.Must be commutable to Waltham, MA.
