The client has been in the construction business for a little over 50 years. They focus on light industrial and multifamily markets, and performed $200M in revenue this year. This general contractor has provided them the opportunity to bring on more construction professionals who are seeking growth and development. This client is driven, and offer an environment where people can advance quickly and have high earning potential. Fifty percent of the projects are based throughout the St. Louis area, and the other fifty percent are nationwide. Travel is minimal.

The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project

The Successful Applicant

The Assistant Project Manager should posses the following:

  • 3-5 years of experience with a general contractor
  • Procore experience is a must
  • Multifamilly, Education, Retail construction experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and ability to work directly with clients
  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Science, Management, or something similar
