Job Description

  1. Project Planning and Coordination: Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project management team. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and milestones are achieved.

  2. Documentation Management: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project correspondence. Organize and archive documents for easy access and reference.

  3. Budgeting and Cost Control: Support the project manager in preparing project budgets, tracking expenses, and monitoring costs to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions to optimize project efficiency.

  4. Scheduling: Assist in developing and managing project schedules using project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to sequence activities and ensure timely project completion.

  5. Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Participate in implementing QA/QC processes to uphold quality standards and compliance with project specifications, building codes, and industry regulations. Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate testing and inspections as required.

  6. Subcontractor Management: Assist in procuring and managing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and ensure subcontractors' performance meets project requirements and deadlines.

  7. Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction. Act as a liaison between the project team and clients to facilitate effective communication and resolve issues promptly.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction project management or related role, preferably in design-build or construction management services.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification is preferred.
  • LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable construction practices is a plus
