About Our Client

Our client is a leading multifamily general contractor that focuses on building garden style, podium and wrap style projects throughout the Texas market. They are seeking an assistant project manager to join their fast growing team in the Dallas area.

Job Description

  • Assist the Project Manager in compliance with plans and specs' contract duration and project anticipated profits.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the compliance of Company policies regarding subcontracts in 45 days, submittals in 90 days and project close-out within a timely duration of 45 days.
  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in the timely submittal of pay applications, invoices, status reports, cost reports and use of scheduling procedures.
  • Handles the organization, distribution, filing and tracking of project documents.
  • Assist the Project Manager in use of cost reporting and accurate projections for the Labor Report and Cost Analysis.
  • Adhere to company safety guidelines for a safe workplace.
  • Maintain a good project team relationship with the design team, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Assist the Project Manager with mentoring new employees.
  • Assist as needed with MEP/BIM coordination.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Engineering or any applicable degree program required.
  • Experience as a project engineer or assistant project manager at another general contractor
  • Previous construction experience from Internships, Co-Ops, Apprenticeships, Part-time or Full-time jobs.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and able to operate a computer.
  • Experience with Procore preferred
