Job Description

The Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily - Raleigh will be expected to:

  • Assist in Project Planning: Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Assist in coordinating and scheduling subcontractors, suppliers, and construction crews.
  • On-Site Supervision: Monitor and inspect construction sites to ensure work is progressing according to plans and specifications. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, and promote a culture of safety among all workers. Address any issues or conflicts that may arise on-site and report them to the Superintendent.
  • Quality Control: Assist in ensuring that all work meets quality standards and specifications. Conduct quality inspections and communicate any deficiencies to the appropriate parties.
  • Materials and Equipment Management: Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site. Ensure that materials are stored and used efficiently and according to project plans.
  • Schedule Management: Assist in keeping the project on schedule by monitoring progress and identifying potential delays. Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop solutions to address schedule issues.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with subcontractors, suppliers, project team members, and other stakeholders. Act as a point of contact for field-related inquiries and issues.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily - Raleigh should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred, but not required).
  • Previous experience in multifamily construction or a related field.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and practices.
