Job Description

The Assistant Superintendent's daily responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the on-site team from construction start through project close
  • Proactively identify and help remedy design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project-specific issues.
  • Communicate and interpret contract scope to the entire site management team.
  • Conduct preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work.
  • Create and maintain a project production schedule
  • Review and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor.
  • Administer a Quality Control Plan.
  • Review and approve all invoices and requisitions to ensure correct payment to vendors

The Successful Applicant

The Assistant Superintendent will have:

  • Several years of experience as a construction superintendent or in a related role, demonstrating successful management of construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling tools, and other relevant technology.
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations and the ability to promote and maintain a culture of safety on the construction site.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
