Job Description

The position reports into the R&D Manager and is responsible for:

  • Designing and manufacturing automated systems for high-performance thermoplastics.
  • Conducting research and development of advanced automation concepts.
  • Initiating and managing capital equipment projects, from justification to implementation.
  • Integrating custom automation into manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and throughput.
  • Assembling, testing, and troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external contacts, addressing technical needs promptly.
  • Collaborating on customer projects through the product lifecycle, from R&D to production support.
  • Supporting product qualification processes and generating technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate will have:

  • 1-5+ years of experience in automation and testing
  • Experience automating machinery
  • Developing the automation process, testing, and training
  • Design and develop robotics
  • PLC programming skills
  • Hands on manufacturing
  • Robotics experience a plus
