About Our Client
Our client is an international investment banking and holding company.
Job Description
- Prepare credit reviews and Operative and Non-Operative Credit Application forms in coordination with account officers.
- See credit applications through the approval process and take action if necessary
- Perform business and financial analysis for prospects and customers for credit write-ups.
- Prepare financial models and projections and associated write-ups in coordination with the account officers to aid in the evaluation of credit quality of potential new deals, testing repayment ability from cash flow under various assumptions and stress cases.
- Review with account officers the legal documentation for syndicated transactions.
- Review the covenant compliance and ratings reports prepared by the assistants to ensure accuracy, train and assist them whenever necessary, and alert account officers in case of non-compliance or credit deterioration
- Propose improvements to this reporting system in terms of timeliness and exactitude and implement them.
- Interface with Agent banks and other analysts in the market in coordination with the account officers, to source credit and market information essential to the evaluation of credits, both for prospects and existing portfolio names.
- Prepare and maintain the internal rating system for non-French customers including inputting financial information and providing opinions with regards to business and market positioning.
- Research and report on developments in markets, industries, and assets relevant to the group's activities.
- Participate with account officers to calls to customers and bank meetings

The Successful Applicant
- Credit training and experience, an ability to think flexibly about the relationship between numbers projections and business risks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good oral and written communication skills. French speaking would be a plus.
- Ability to work with a range of levels of management and staff.
- Comfort working with detail, precision with work involving numerical data entry.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. MBA preferred.
