A client is looking for an AVP, ITT Security Specialist - Engineering to focus on enhancing the security posture of the firm's estate through the implementation and maintenance of security solutions, collaboration with various IT teams, and oversight of security controls across on-premise and cloud environments. The specialist will also lead initiatives, provide strategic security advice, and ensure compliance with cyber resilience requirements while fostering strong communication and leadership within the team.

The client is a private bank operating in the foreign exchange (FX) market.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement the firm's security strategy in collaboration with IT teams, ensuring alignment with overall firm objectives.
  • Provide security guidance and support for IT projects while researching new security products to maintain industry standards.
  • Operate and maintain security controls, including SIEM, DLP, and vulnerability management, ensuring compliance with cyber resilience requirements.
  • Design and integrate consistent security solutions across on-premise and cloud environments, while managing security configurations and third-party solutions.
  • Lead by example, fostering teamwork and strong communication skills to effectively convey technical details and business risks to diverse audiences.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 5 years in information security, with at least 2 years focused on cloud security.
  • Expertise in firewalls, TCP/IP, network IDS/IPS, DLP, web proxies, email protection, endpoint protection software, and SIEM.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security concepts, secure design principles, and security frameworks.
  • Skilled in monitoring, tuning, and developing technical security controls and frameworks to address threats.
  • Effective collaborator with strong documentation skills and experience in the financial or banking industry preferred.
