We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Benefits Specialist. The candidate will be responsible for managing and administering employee healthcare benefits for all US employees. The role is hybrid in Washington, DC, but we may consider candidates in New York, NY, if able to travel to DC once a month.

Job Description

  • Manage healthcare plan administration
  • Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system
  • Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims
  • Prepare and execute, with legal consultation, benefits documentation
  • Assure company compliance with provisions of Employee Retirement Income Security Act
  • Supervise maintenance of enrollment and claims records for all benefits plans
  • Handle benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution

The Successful Applicant

A successful Benefits Specialist should have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • 4+ years benefits experience in a professional services or legal environment
