My client is a startup Manufacturing company in Boston looking for a Senior Accountant- Manufacturing & Biotech to report into the Assistant Controller. The company culture is great here and the position is fully remote. This is a newly created position in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The company is in growth mode and looking for the right candidate to help in their accounting department!

Description

The Senior Accountant - Manufacturing & Biotech will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for all payroll-related accounting activities, including preparation of payroll and benefit-related account reconciliations and journal entries on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Perform other general monthly close activities such as preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet and P&L accounts, and performing analytical reviews.
  • Keep detailed records of accounting entries.
  • Assist with system implementations, including the implementation of ADP GLI.
  • Support the external reporting process, coordinating with the external reporting team to ensure that key inputs are provided timely.
  • Support improvement and building of appropriate systems and processes to facilitate timely and accurate closing of monthly financial statements.
  • Support process improvement activities including enhancing current financial processes, and leverage technology to increase effectiveness.
  • Own and process other general non-payroll or benefit related GL account reconciliations as needed.
  • Handles issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level team members.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Ad hoc projects, as requested.
