Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
  • Ensure payroll tax filings and reporting are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Handle employee inquiries related to payroll and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations concerning payroll practices.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
  • Train and guide staff on payroll processes and systems.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Bilingual Payroll Manager should have:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to commute into lower Manhattan 3 days per week.
  • Previous experience processing payroll through Workday.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
