Job Description

  • Manage the end-to-end billing process for assigned partners, practices, and key clients
  • Prepare, review, and finalize invoices in accordance with client billing guidelines and engagement agreements
  • Handle complex billing scenarios such as split matters, alternative fee arrangements, and client-specific reporting
  • Monitor work in progress (WIP) and accounts receivable (AR), proactively communicating with partners on aging and next steps
  • Liaise with eBilling teams and clients to resolve issues and ensure timely payments
  • Mentor junior billing staff and uphold the firm's high standards of client service

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous law firm experience is required - ideally 3+ years in a billing or billing coordinator role at an AM Law, mid-sized, or boutique firm
  • Strong technical skills with billing software (Elite 3E, Aderant, or similar)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional communication style and confidence working directly with attorneys and clients
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
