Job Description

  • Assist with the month-end and quarter-end close process as well as preparation of financial statements under both US GAAP and IFRS for broker dealer and charitable organization.
  • Perform detailed review and variance analysis of revenue streams, costs drivers and business KPIs.
  • Reconciliations of balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
  • Work closely with regulatory reporting group on monthly filings of FOCUS reports (15c3-1, 15c3-3)
  • Identify and solve process gaps and implement effective internal controls; improve standard operating procedures (SOP's) and account reconciliations/substantiation to comply with company standards.
  • Help implement strategic technology builds and changes in reporting paradigms, including changes in reports as dictated by management and regulators.
  • Support strategic and tactical projects, including working with Operations to implement upgraded clearance and settlement systems.
  • Liaise with external auditor and other internal stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
* Series 27 license required
* 10+ years of experience in Financial Services or Broker Dealer
* Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Detailed oriented with big picture capability

Experience in 15c3-1, 15c3-3 is required.
