The BSA/AML Risk Assessment Consultant is responsible for assisting with the development, execution, and administration of Compliance Risk Assessments, including areas such as BSA/AML, OFAC, Corporate Compliance, Fraud, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption. This temporary position involves collaborating with various teams to identify risks, analyze data, and draft reports with recommendations.
  • Contract Role located in Midtown New York City.
  • 6-Month Contract offering a competitive hourly pay rate.

Job Description

The BSA/AML Risk Assessment Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and management of various Compliance Risk Assessments, such as BSA/AML, OFAC, Corporate Compliance, Fraud, and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC).
  • Identify potential risk factors and perform data analysis for the risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and other teams to identify relevant regulations for assessing inherent risks.
  • Help develop and map internal controls and risk themes across business units.
  • Organize and coordinate training sessions or workshops related to risk assessments.
  • Provide support to Business Units in understanding and adhering to risk-related compliance requirements.
  • Review and analyze risk assessment outcomes and prepare reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Liaise with vendors regarding risk assessment solution needs when required.
  • Report identified risk issues to the Risk Assessment Officer.

The Successful Applicant

The BSA/AML Risk Assessment Consultant should have the following background:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Prior work experience in BSA/AML, Sanctions, Corporate Compliance, Fraud, and/or Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) roles.
  • Prior experience in a Risk Assessment support role.
  • ACAMS, ACFCS, CFE, or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with BSA/AML, Sanctions, Corporate Compliance, Fraud, and ABC regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
