Job Description



  • Product & Capability Ownership: Lead cross-functional understanding of Payments & Deposits products, drive product strategy, develop business cases, prioritize requirements, and manage end-to-end traceability from business goals to test cases.


  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, influence senior leaders, update on project progress, and effectively communicate complex concepts and product changes.


  • Agile & Modern Methodologies: Utilize Agile methodologies, product owner mindset, and tools like Jira and Confluence to drive project execution; stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices.


  • Leadership & Change Management: Empower decision-making, manage risks, execute change plans, and drive team performance through regular demos and stakeholder engagement.


  • Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: Apply critical thinking and conflict resolution to solve complex challenges, recommend improvements, and provide innovative solutions to enhance products and services.

The Successful Applicant



  • Education & Experience: Undergraduate degree, 7+ years of relevant experience, and 3+ years in Project Management, Product Ownership, Testing, or Agile delivery. Certifications like PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner, or CSPO are a plus.


  • Payment & Deposits Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of SWIFT, ISO20022, and payment systems like Canada Lynx, US CHIPS, FedWire, and non-wire payment methods (e.g., drafts, checks).


  • Regulatory & Compliance Expertise: Familiar with regulatory reporting (e.g., EFTR, Fintrac), AML, fraud detection, sanction screening, and compliance reporting.


  • Deposit & Account Management Understanding: Familiar with deposit sub-ledger capabilities (account management, multi-currency handling, liquidity management) and account types (Nostro, Vostro, Corporate Customer).


  • Target Operating Model (TOM) & Payment Data Knowledge: Experience with payment data mapping, canonical models, and creating/documenting TOMs to drive business transformation and address challenges.
