About Our Client

A quickly growing national mid-sized general contractor in St. Louis with a strong pipeline of work for 2022 with plans to expand that workload as well as grow their internal teams to plan for the future. The are a retail contractor with projects that focus on design build and interior build outs. They have primarily local work and growing nationally. They are looking for someone who is loyal and invested in growing companies. Job Description

Reporting directly into the President, the main duties and responsibilities of the Business Development Manager will include the following:

  • Be able to communicate with clients to develop a budget to bid on.
  • Win new business.
  • Analyze key markets to attack.
  • Develop and build a relationship with new contacts in select markets.
  • Work with all parties to create a successful project.
  • Communicates effectively, establishes and fosters relationships with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
  • Understand market trends to identify potential areas for new businesses.
  • Be able to be a leader of multiple other business developers after markets have been identified.

The Successful Applicant

  • Business Development / Sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with retail construction

  • Ability to lead and develop talent
