This includes sourcing and supplier relationship management with global key suppliers, driving sales and business development efforts and commercial growth and account management in conjunction with the sales and business development teams, working with operations on production capabilities and capacity, and also managing high profile key accounts. This Business Line Manager will report to the VP of Sales and Marketing. This is a 100% remote work from home opportunity, but preferrable candidates will be based in the Midwest, Southeast, or Gulf Coast areas.Job DescriptionUnderstand and market the current value proposition of speed and responsiveness to the customers.Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, translating insights into actionable strategiesCollaborate with operations to identify opportunities for improvement that are essential in building long term growth markets from a manufacturing capability and pricing and profitability standpointIdentify new sales opportunities and strategic target customersCollaborate with the integration leads from the different functions (Supply Chain, Planning, IT, HR, IT, etc.) to develop detailed integration plans and milestonesSales and Strategic planning to ensure profitability and keeping up to date with market trendsWork closely with the Executive Team to incorporate the integration approach, operational structure and key milestones/metricsDrive revenue growth by identifying and targeting new sales opportunities, expanding the customer base, and optimizing pricing strategiesDevelop pricing strategus to optimize marginsWork with team to enhance new business qualification process for more volume and enhanced turnaround timesDrive day-to-day execution of the integration process, including coaching cross-functional teams, managing weekly integration team meetings and driving proactive issue resolutionAttend and contribute to industry events, trade shows and other marketing promotional activitiesFacilitate development of key tracking metrics aligned with transaction value drivers and synergy planMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or Chemistry/Chemical Engineering10 years of strategic sales and business development experience within the chemical, additives, food ingredients or related sectorsExperience with Oleochemicals is highly preferredProven track record of developing and implementing a strategic business development and sales planExperience with toll and contract manufacturing servicesExperience and knowledge of personal care, adhesives, resins, paints and coatings, lubricants, surfactants or related is a must haveValue based selling approach specifically selling buy vs makeAnalytical and organizational skillsStrong presentations and communication skills requiredExperience working in a global organization preferredAbility to travel 50% domesticallyWhat's on OfferCompetitive base salary $150,000 - $175,000, bonus 20% at target (up to 45%), profit sharing, phone, computer, full benefits, 401K, vacation, holidays.
