They package and distribute their products to stores and customers worldwide.Job DescriptionThe responsibilities of the Buyer for the nutraceutical manufacturing company areSource and purchase raw materials (e.g., powders, capsules, botanicals), packaging (e.g., bottles, labels, cartons), and indirect goodsManage supplier relationships, including cost negotiations, lead time agreements, and quality expectationsCollaborate with the production, quality, and R&D teams to ensure all materials meet regulatory and formulation requirementsTrack purchase orders and maintain accurate records in ERP system (NetSuite experience is a plus)Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking and support forecasting effortsIdentify and qualify new suppliers to diversify the supply base and reduce riskWork with QA/QC to ensure vendor compliance with cGMP and FDA standardsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
