Buyer

The responsibilities of the Buyer for the nutraceutical manufacturing company are

• 
  
  Source and purchase raw materials (e.g., powders, capsules, botanicals), packaging (e.g., bottles, labels, cartons), and indirect goods
• 
  
  Manage supplier relationships, including cost negotiations, lead time agreements, and quality expectations
• 
  
  Collaborate with the production, quality, and R&D teams to ensure all materials meet regulatory and formulation requirements
• 
  
  Track purchase orders and maintain accurate records in ERP system (NetSuite experience is a plus)
• 
  
  Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking and support forecasting efforts
• 
  
  Identify and qualify new suppliers to diversify the supply base and reduce risk
• 
  
  Work with QA/QC to ensure vendor compliance with cGMP and FDA standards
