The Electrical Estimator will:

  • be responsible for managing all estimating processes from start to finish.
  • Research to provide accurate, complete and competitive pricing
  • Collaborate with clients and subcontractors to define the project scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing and nurture relationships.
  • Review and manage the overall preconstruction schedule, contract agreement obligations, monitor deliverables and maintain product workflow.
  • Create and track bid and budget estimates from the conceptual design stage to the construction document stage
  • Develop RFQ/RFP documents to acquire subcontractor and vendor proposals and quotes.

The Successful Applicant

Electrical Estimator Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of estimating experience
  • Stable work history
  • Demonstrated experience creating estimates for electrical projects
  • Advanced experience with estimating software (Conest or Accubid preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with Chief Estimators and Operations Department Managers to initiate new projects
  • Must be knowledgeable of industry manufacturers, vendors and reps and capable of communicating information for accurate and competitive pricing
