Chief Estimator - Northern New Jersey

The Chief Estimator is responsible for leading, organizing, and managing the estimating department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Lead and manage the estimating team-Provide leadership, training, and task assignment. Foster a collaborative and efficient team environment.
* Review and oversee bid estimates: Managing the process from inception to completion with precision and thoroughness.
* Evaluate project scope to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
* Lead Value Engineering efforts during the Preconstruction Phase of projects when required.
* Collaborate with Executives and Project Managers to ensure estimating strategies align with operational goals.
* Process Improvement - Review, develop, and maintain estimating procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy.
* Perform post-project evaluation: Assess estimate accuracy and pinpoint areas for improvement.
* Maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors. Collaborating and building a strong subcontractor base to ensure the best pricing submission.
* Financial management - Monitoring estimated costs to project costs to provide financial reports to track and improve bid accuracy.
* Cost Estimation - Provide detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, subcontractors, and other project-related expenses.
