Job Description

Description
A day as the Civil Superintendent:
- Oversee a team of field staff- including subcontractors.
- Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, misc project costs, etc.
- Collaborate with clients, project management, and misc. construction management professionals to determine budget & timeline.
- Assist in the coordination of materials & equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
- Create schedules for field star and subcontractors.
- Maintain a daily log for the job site's operations, reporting to management as necessary.
The Successful Applicant
The qualified Civil Superintendent will have:
- College degree (construction-related) preferred | GED/highschool diploma OK if paired with relevant experience.
- Ability to understand & interpret blueprints, construction plans, and necessary contracts.
- Knowledge of construction survey terminology that is involved in heavy civil construction projects.
- Experience with "self-perform" multi-trade construction projects.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction of highways and roads, site work, or other related fields.
- Understanding of construction layouts; basic understanding of GPS survey equipment operation + knowledge of GPS machine control.
- Proven leadership skills, ability to successfully delegate work.
- Strong technical skills (including all MS apps)
- OSHA 10 certification & first aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
