My client are one of the leading Independent Power Producers in N. America, with GWs of Renewable Assets in Operation, GWs of projects under Construction, and GWs of projects in their Development Pipeline - Solar, Solar+, Hydrogen, Geothermal, Transmission, Energy Storage, etc etc.

Job Description

The Clean Energy - Director Strategic Development - Walnut Creek will:

  • Oversee business development activities to identify, develop and close new energy projects opportunities.
  • Develop and implements strategies that support the company's development goals, the organisation's strategy and vision.
  • Oversee proposal development, due diligence, and customer and executive-level presentations.
  • Lead the negotiations for transaction agreements with customers/ counter-parties.
  • Establish and develop industry relationships to advance market presence and project development.
  • Leads the coordination with internal and external resources to achieve land acquisition, permitting, interconnection/transmission, and other project development milestones, with accountability for budget and schedule.

The Successful Applicant

The right candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated success developing new energy projects, complex contract negotiations and bringing deals to close.
  • Expert knowledge of the regional project development and utilities landscape.
  • Leadership skills, advanced business acumen and strong negotiation skills required.
  • Experienced and innovative professional experience.

What's on Offer

For the right Clean Energy - Director Strategic Development - Walnut Creek, there will be:

A base salary up to $250k

Annual Bonus up to 45%
